As someone who is not from the area, Iron City welcomed us as outsiders, and made my wife and I feel like family. I don't feel like we've met a stranger, as well as feeling love from each person we've been around.

Why do you love Iron City?
We felt accepted when we first came to Iron City and since then it has been a great church for our family. It has allowed my family to serve the Lord in numerous areas and grow spiritually. Both of my kids accepted Christ at this church and it was a great place for them to grow up. Most of Phil and my best adult friends came about from being at ICBC so it has been a great place to be and serve for our entire family over the years.

Why do you love Iron City?
When Paul and I got married in 2012, I left Tuscaloosa, along with most of my friends and family. Being an extrovert, I craved making new friends, but it was hard. From our first visit to ICBC in 2015, it felt like home. I was pregnant with Jack and within several months after our first visit, at 24 weeks, I was hospitalized and put on bed rest. Ten weeks later, Jack was born! During his stay in the NICU, we had a few people from the church visit us and continue to check in on us. Since then, friendships have been made, prayers have been prayed, guidance and provision that carried me through the lowest season in my life was graciously placed in my, Paul, and Jack’s lives. Iron City has become our home and, there is no place like home. :)
